How Can We Help You

Crisis intervention activities are often short-term activities directed at young people who may be at immediate risk of suicidal behavior. Our intervention and assessment protocols aim to respond quickly to crises that could result in self-harm or suicide. The primary role of the counselor in conducting an assessment is to gather information that can help resolve the crisis. While crisis assessment is orientated to the individual, it always must include an assessment of the person’s immediate environment and interpersonal relationships. As such, our goal is to provide a systematic method of organizing client information related to personal characteristics, parameters of the crisis episode and the intensity and duration of the crisis in order to utilize the data to develop effective treatment plans or interventions.
